Strides Pharma Mozambique S.A., intends to set up a plant at Machava, near Maputo in Mozambique, Africa, to manufacture and pack tablets and capsules of General nature, as well as Betalactum products in the form of capsules and dry powder.
The proposed plant shall be planned, designed, engineered and operated as per cGMP compliance to WHO GMP standards.

The Annual requirement planned for Oral solid dosages comprising capsules and Powder as per data provided is as follows:
- Capsules- 220 million capsules of average weight 600 mg.
- Powders- 4.8 million bottles with average fill size of 34 g.
The above capacities are based on equipment selected.
General Block
This comprises tablets and capsules only. Annual requirements planned are as follows:
- Tablets – 441 million tablets of average weight 625 mg.
- Capsules - 220 million capsules of average weight 625 mg.
